This Privacy Policy explains how Selectricale LLC, doing business as SelectricalE ("SelectricalE," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you visit selectricale.com (the "Site"), call or text us, or send us a request through the Site. We are a licensed electrical contractor based in Denver, Colorado. We keep this simple: we collect what we need to answer you and do the work, and nothing more.
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, call, or text us, we receive what you share with us, which may include:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- The town or address where the work is needed
- The type of work you are asking about and the details you describe
- Photos you text or send us (for example, a photo of your panel or the problem area)
- Project details needed for an estimate, permit, scheduling, or invoice
The "Should I call about my panel?" self-check runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you tick is sent to us or stored.
Information collected automatically
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare keeps standard server logs (such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of the request) to deliver the Site, protect it from abuse, and diagnose problems. We do not run advertising trackers on the Site, and we do not use analytics software at this time. If we add a privacy-respecting analytics tool in the future, we will update this policy to say so.
Cookies and local storage
The Site does not set tracking cookies. Your browser may store a small display preference for the Site in local storage. That preference never leaves your device, is not used to identify you, and can be cleared through your browser settings at any time.
Third-party services and links
- Instagram feed. Our home page may show our latest Instagram posts through a feed service (Behold). When that section loads, your browser requests the photos from that service, which may receive your IP address. The service states that it sets no cookies and collects no visitor data beyond anonymous feed usage.
- Links to other sites. The Site links to our Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube pages and to Google Maps. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we do not control what they collect once you leave the Site.
- Fonts. The fonts on this Site are hosted with the Site. No font requests go to Google or any other outside service.
How we use your information
- To reply to your request and schedule a visit or estimate
- To plan, permit, perform, inspect, and invoice electrical work you hire us for
- To keep the records that Colorado licensing, permitting, and tax rules require us to keep
- To protect the Site and our business from fraud, abuse, and security problems
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists. We only text you if you text us first or ask us to text you about your project. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP or telling us.
How we share information
We share information only when it is needed to do the work or when the law requires it:
- With service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider, and scheduling or invoicing tools, and only for those purposes
- With local building departments and inspectors when a permit or inspection is required for your project
- With suppliers or subcontractors when needed to complete your project
- When required by law, subpoena, or a government request, or to protect the rights and safety of our customers, our team, or the public
- If our business is sold or merged, in which case your information would transfer with it under this policy
How long we keep information
We keep project records for as long as needed to support the work, honor warranties, and meet legal record-keeping requirements. If you contact us and we do not end up working together, we keep your inquiry only as long as it is useful for replying to you, and then delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will honor your request unless we need to keep the information for a legal reason, such as permit or tax records. To make a request, call or text (720) 295-5255 or use the contact form. We will never ask you to pay or to create an account to make a privacy request.
We are a small business and are not currently subject to the Colorado Privacy Act's thresholds, but we follow the same principles: collect little, explain clearly, and respect your choices.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Children
The Site is intended for adults arranging electrical work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
